Gift Aid – Make your donation go further at no extra cost to you!
Gift Aid is a simple scheme that enables us to claim an additional 25p from every £1 donated by UK taxpayers. In addition to this, the Government will provide an additional 3p for every pound until the 2011 tax year. This means a £10 donation will be worth £12.80 to us, at no extra cost to you!
To qualify for Gift Aid, you must pay an amount of tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount to be reclaimed in a tax year. All we need is your name, address and your permission to Gift Aid your donations – please use the Gift Aid Declaration Form (PDF) or call us on 08546 580480.
Not many people know this… If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can also claim tax relief for yourself at 20% (i.e. the difference between the higher rate of tax at 40% and the basic rate at 20%) by including details of your donations on your Self Assessment form. Alternatively, you can donate this rebate directly to Canine Partners on the same form (using the code GAS75UG) and increase it further through Gift Aid.
If you are owed tax by the taxman, you can give your repayment to Canine Partners simply by filling in this short form. It’s an easy way to make a donation – and you can use Gift Aid to increase the value of your gift.
