East Sussex Puppy Training Satellite

Puppy Classes are held at Upper Dicker Village Hall, near Hailsham, East Sussex. Ruth Narracott, took over as Satellite Puppy Trainer in Spring 2010 after many years as a dedicated volunteer puppy parent and fundraiser.

Ruth's typical day will involve puppy testing and home visits to prospective Puppy Parents (occasionally a Partnership), with training class, and updating training and health reports, with frequent requests to attend presentations and events with her  demonstration dog, Tiggy; a Chocolate Labrador and mum to many canine partners.

Au Revoir to Heather

At their first get together of 2010 in February, East Sussex finally had their belated Christmas party with obedience games for the pups and gifts for the puppy parents. Unbeknown to Heather Loan, Ruth and the team had decided this meeting would be
“Heather’s leaving do”. Heather is off to pastures new, to set up new puppy satellites over in the West Country, but before she goes she wanted to say a few words:


“I didn’t know any of the East Sussex puppy parents when I started the satellite four and a half years ago, but what a super team of volunteers they are: dedicated and good-humoured, and strong friendships have formed. Together we have proudly
celebrated every successful partnership achieved, and accepted that not every puppy is going to be suitable.”
