Dogs, Rocks and Frocks is our first ever fashion show, combining the glamour of fashion with the remarkable skills of our Canine Partners assistance dogs. The event is taking place at the unique venue of St Mary’s Church in the very heart of London.
The evening will commence at 6.30pm with drinks and supper. The fashion show will follow, with models presenting a range of beautiful designer wear and stunning handcrafted jewellery. Canine Partners demonstration dogs will accompany the models down the catwalk, demonstrating just some of the skills and commands they learn as part of their 18 month training to be an assistance dog.
As the fashion show and dog demonstrations come to an end, there will be an auction hosted by Lord Hindlip, which will include a collection of etchings by the late artist Craigie Aitchison RA plus other art pieces by his fellow artists which have been generously donated to Canine Partners for this event. Other auction items include designer dresses and sumptuous jewellery.
The whole show is being produced by Jane Galpin, renowned producer of C4’s ‘How To Look Good Naked’, and choreographed by none other than Paul Selby.
Lady Pearson, Ambassador for Canine Partners, introduced the concept of this exciting and inaugural event to the Charity, which is being held to raise awareness and vital funds to enable us to respond to the growing demand for our assistance dogs for people with disabilities across the UK.
